About the Program

The United DFC High-Performance AAA Program runs for 9-10 months per year (assessment period dependent), with a commitment of up to 3-4 training per week.

The calendar runs from January - October.

U15AAA will be comprised of 2010 and 2011 players
U17AAA will be comprised of 2008 and 2009 players

Player Selection Policy

As part of the High Performance stream, team selections will be made based on a set of criteria: physical, technical, tactical, mental (PTTM Model).

Known UDFC players will be assessed by coaches based on their long-term performance, commitment, etc. New players are welcome to be assessed for a given program through training. 

Once we confirm our final numbers at this level the squads will be chosen to ensure the players have a positive experience within the squad they are most aligned with.

For the 2024/25 season, UDFC hosted open assessments in Fall to compete in the Winter exhibition series through NSSL. Players will be identified within the club for consideration to enter the AAA stream as no open assessments will take place in the March window. Please contact fawnm@udfc.ca for more information.

Training & Games

3-4 sessions per week on turf in Dartmouth/Halifax.

Coaches

All United DFC Coaches will be properly qualified and on-boarded in order to ensure that we as a club adhere to the standards & principles set by Soccer Nova Scotia & Canada Soccer. 

All coaches must apply to coach within this program and all applicants will be screened and reviewed in order to ensure that they meet all of the requirements of United DFC & Canada Soccer. These requirements include: the age-stage specific grassroots training/course, making ethical decisions, respect in sport, making headway and emergency action plan.
