United DFC Need to Know Information Update

May 13 – May 19

Information for all members -including start dates

Adam Miller, Director of Soccer, has sent introduction emails to all registered mini and community players. If you haven’t received this email, please check your junk mail. If you don’t have the email please check your demosphere account to ensure we have a working email. If you still don’t have it, please email info@udfc.ca to get the information. Mini and community programs will be beginning in the next few weeks (see summary of dates below).

All performance and skill center players should already be training with their teams/ programs.

Register Quickly. Programs filling up!

Registration for all senior, community, skills center and mini programs are open but filling up quickly. Performance programs are closed. Other programs will be closed as they fill up. Register early to avoid disappointment.

Please let your friends know that it is important to register ASAP before the community and mini teams are finalized so that we can honour friend requests. As teams and programs fill up, friend requests become more and more difficult to accommodate. Please check the website for further information.

Online Camp Registration is open

Camp Registration is open for our week long summer camps. We have had technical difficulties with the link to online registration but are expecting it to be fixed ASAP. If it doesn’t work, check back in a day. Cost $150. Locations in Dartmouth and Cole Harbour. The locations for each week will be announced soon.

Outdoor Practices in Inclement Weather

The All Weather Turf is never closed due to poor weather conditions so all artificial turf practices will be ON unless the individual team or program coaches cancel the practice and communicate that to the specific players on the team/ program. When in doubt, check your email first or team app and then check with the team coaching staff. Performance teams almost never cancel. Skills center with younger players may cancel if the program coaches feel the weather is too poor.

Attendance in poor weather is at the parents’ discretion but we ask that you always let the team coaching staff know when a player will be missing for any reason. Dress for the weather. Have fun.

Did you know?

Did you know that with the help of the provincial and federal governments, UDFC hires a number of grant staff each summer to help support our volunteer coaches and run quality programs? The provincial grant staff begin this week and you will see them at the office and on the fields. We are pleased to have a nice mix of returning staff and new staff.
