Meet our club technical leaders – Adam, Mesut and Zach
UDFC has 3 technical leads who are very involved with the programs and players at all levels. All 3 of our technical directors (TD) supervise staff, support coaches and work together to plan the technical piece of our club. They all spend countless hours on the field and are very familiar with the players within their respective programs. They also lay the important foundation for our club and spend many, many hours behind the scenes supporting where needed and making sure programs are running well.
Our Club’s primary technical leader, Adam Miller (Director of Soccer) oversees the 4 mini-programs (U3-U10C) and works directly with our community teams and coaches (12C – U18C). He has been out at practices and games all summer long. The community coaches are in constant communication with Adam.
Mesut Mert is the Technical Director (TD) in charge of the performance program (A, AA, AAA) and has set the game model for the club. Mesut has been at games and practices for all performance teams and has provided a number of coaching development opportunities this summer.
Zach Bauld is the Skills Center TD and works directly with the players and coaches who are between 7-12 years old who have chosen player development stream. Zach has developed the UDFC skills centre model that is being followed by much of the province.
UDFC is extremely fortunate to have technical leaders of this calibre and we appreciate them very much. Most of the contact these TD’s have with parents is around conflict resolution or problem-solving. If you want to make their day, consider sending them a quick email with positive feedback to let them know the positive impact they have directly and indirectly on your child’s soccer development.
