Congratulations to our UDFC teams in Provincials this weekend!

Congratulations to our United DFC U13AA girls who are bringing home a BRONZE medal from provincials this past weekend. This team is coached by Katie Aucoin, Lauren Windsor and Katie Heckman.

Congratulations to our United DFC U15 AA girls who won GOLD at the provincials this weekend. This team is coached by Mark Harnish and John Macpherson.

Congratulations to the UDFC Under 18 A girls coached by Deryck Richardson and Mark Hinam for capturing a FIFTH place finish at provincials held in Truro this past weekend.

Congratulations to our teams who had a great season and just missed out on provincials by a few points.

Good luck to our UDFC teams competing in provincials on the upcoming Labour day weekend:

  • UDFC U13A girls – coached by John Mcpherson, Doug Pickrem, Fernando Amaral & Sean Francois (UDFC hosting provincials on CH turf)
  •  UDFC U15A girls- Team Navy – coached by Scott Collens and Greg Bonnell (in Truro)
  • UDFC U15A boys– coached by John Zorychta and Scott Chouinard (UDFC hosting provincials on Mic Mac Fields in Dartmouth)

HELP! Provincial Volunteers Needed:

We are hosting 2 provincial championships this weekend. If you are interested in helping with Under 13 A girls contact Doug Pickrem. If you are interested in helping with Under 15 A boys contact Johnz@udfc.ca or anupamav@udfc.ca . Volunteer tasks are very easy and only involve a few hours at the field. If you around on the long weekend, please consider helping out.

Jersey Return- IMPORTANT

Mini players (U4-U8 community) – You may keep your Tim Horton’s jerseys
ALL OTHER PLAYERS – PLEASE, Please, Please ensure that you return your jersey(s) to your coach or manager on the last night you are at soccer. If you are going on vacation, leave it with the coach/ manager before you leave.
We prefer that teams return the jerseys in sets, but if you have not returned your jersey and the team has finished for the season, please return the jersey(s) to the UDFC office (75 MacDonald Ave, Unit 4, Burnside). Ensure you get a receipt when returning the jersey.
If your jersey has a UDFC crest on the chest and a number on the back then it MUST be returned. This includes ALL navy/ green jerseys, green alternates and U10/12 community jerseys (various colours).
Jersey deposit cheques will be cashed for lost or un-returned jerseys.

Player Photo packages will be able to be picked up at the UDFC office on Friday, Aug 30th. The office address is 75 MacDonald Ave., Dartmouth 902-404-8332.

UDFC will switch to our fall office hour schedule on Sept 7th. (We will be open Saturdays until Dec 21)

UDFC Offers 50/50 Fundraising Opportunity for the month of September

Families will once again have the opportunity to raise funds for registration through the 50/50 draw. $0.41 of every dollar sold will go to the family selling the tickets (with the other half going to the winner- financial break down explained HERE). Watch for an email from Experience Fundraising with details to participate. The 50/50 will take place for the month of September.

Senior Teams Fundraising

United DFC is excited to support our AAA Senior Men and Women who are both going to Nationals in October.  Watch Need to Know and social media for opportunities to support the teams (and have a little fun).

Cole Harbour Harvest Festival Parade – September 7

UDFC will be participating in the 2019 Cole Harbour Festival Parade on Saturday, September 7. All members and their families are welcome to walk with us in the parade. Wear UDFC clothing and good sneakers and meet us in the parking lot at Pope John Paul XXIII church on Colby Drive at 9:15 am. Parade starts at 10 am from the church and ends at Cole Harbour Place. Contact anupamav@udfc.ca for details or if you want to help decorate the “float”.

Winter Soccer Registration

Registration for winter soccer will open Early-mid September. Check the website and watch your email! We offer winter soccer for mini, community, performance and senior!

Parent Information Sessions

Soccer Nova Scotia is making some significant changes to winter programs in Nova Scotia and at UDFC we are always trying to improve our programs. Keep an eye out for announcements about upcoming parent meetings around program changes/ enhancements for various age groups- specifically skills center and AAA and AA programs.
