AAA Registration issues

The fees for the AAA program were missed during the programming of the registration process. Anyone who has already registered without fees will be contacted with information about how the fees will be applied.

Team Managers

If you have been assigned as a team manager, please contact Adam Miller at dos@udfc.ca and Deborah Mert at gm@udfc.ca to ensure that you are listed in our contacts as the team manager. This is very important. Thanks you so much for your service. UDFC appreciates managers!

We Need Help!!

We need help to give out our jerseys for life on Saturday from 10-2. Please email Deborah at deborahm@udfc.ca if you can help between 10-2.

Lower Registration Costs- Can you help us build a travel prize?

UDFC continues to try to help families reduce their own registration costs by offering personal fundraising opportunities that benefit the individual. These are NOT club fundraisers. (Including the UDFC 50/50).

We are looking for any members with ties to airlines, travel agencies or the hotel industry that could help us put together a travel package to sell tickets on where members get back almost the full amount of the ticket sold to use towards registration. We have secured Toronto FC and Montreal Impact Tickets. We are now looking for the air fare and accommodations to build these prizes. Please email susans@udfc.ca if you can help.

Did you know?

UDFC follows the “Rule of Two

The “Rule of Two” applies to all Coaches, Instructors, Volunteers and Staff involved in any United DFC event or activity. This rule serves to protect minor athletes in potentially vulnerable situations by ensuring that more than one ADULT is present. Vulnerable situations can include closed door meetings, travel, and other one-on-one.

There must always be two ADULTS (preferably screened) with a PLAYER when in a potentially vulnerable situation. This means that any one-on-one interaction between ADULT and a PLAYER must take place within earshot and view of the second ADULT, with the exception of medical emergencies.

One of the ADULTS should also be of the same gender as the PLAYER. The goal is to prevent instances where situations are possible. There may however be instances that
arise, such as an ADULT who is asked to provide a drive to a PLAYER and there is not a second ADULT present. If situations such as this arise, the ADULT should seek permission from a parent in writing, such as an email or text message.

Parents may be asked to stay with a coach to ensure the rule of two is met – either during practices and/or after practices. Parents are asked to pick their athletes up on time to avoid coaches being placed in an awkward position.
