Mix 96.5 – Coats for a Cause – UPDATE!!

Our coats for a Cause was a great success!

UDFC collected more than 100 coats to donate for the Mix 96.5 Coats for a Cause!

Thank you to everyone who donated, you have made a huge difference in someone’s life and made this cold winter a little warmer.

As our friends at Mix 96.5 say, the season of giving never stops!

We would like to invite all of our United DFC family, along with friends, to help us support a great, local cause.

By supporting Coats for a Cause with Mix 96-5, we can help so many more people stay warm this winter.

All coats will go to Parker Street Food & Furniture Bank to help those in need this winter. And for every coat turned in, Casino Nova Scotia will donate $5 per coat, up to a max of $5000!

Donate your old winter coat, or pick up a new one! Winter hats, gloves, mittens, scarves and socks are also great ideas that would not be turned away!

Coats can be dropped off from now until Friday, Jan 25th at the United DFC office

All donations collected will be brought to the live Coats for a Cause event on Saturday, January 26th from 10 am to 3 pm at Mic Mac Mall.

Let’s help Mix 96.5 keep the season of giving going.  We thank you!

Summary of Important Dates:

UDFC Team Selections – Summer 2019

On this page are the links for selected teams for U12 Whitecaps, U12 Prospects, all A teams, all AA teams & all AAA teams for the summer season.

I am on a team. What happens next?

Tomorrow, you will receive an email from the club with a link to the official registration for your program. Once you get this email, click the link and sign your child up. If you have any issues with registration, please email Deborah at deborahm@udfc.ca.

I am on the “To Be Assessed” list. What happens next?

By Tuesday at 5pm, you will receive an email from our Technical Staff (either Mesut or Adam). This will give you the information you need to know where and when your child will be assessed. These will be during the regular practice times for the team. If you have questions about this process, please email Mesut Mert, tdmesut@udfc.ca or Adam Miller, dos@udfc.ca

I do not see my child’s name on any list. What do I do?

If your child’s name is not on any of the lists and you definitely have them registered, then they may have been placed at the community level. If this is the case, you will receive an email on Monday confirming this placement. If you DO NOT receive an email on Monday, then a mistake may have been made. Please contact Adam Miller at dos@udfc.ca as soon as you can.

I have questions about my child’s placement. What do I do?

We ask you to wait 24 hours and discuss the players placement with your child in that time period. After 24 hours, please feel free to contact us by phone, email or in person. We will arrange meetings if that is what you desire.

East Coast Varsity – Parking Lot Safety

When visiting the East Coast Varsity dome, please be sure to park in the dome-designated parking lot.  This lot can be accessed via Poseidon Crt.

There is insufficient space in the arena parking lot to accommodate both facilities, so it’s important that we park accordingly.

Even more important, is the safety of our members, coaches, families and friends.  The fenced off area between the arena and dome is designated for the Zamboni machine and is completely off-limits. (Unless, of course, you are a Zamboni!)

Join us on April 26th, for a Live Auction!

On Friday, April 26, 2019, we will be hosting a live Auction at Parkside Pub in Dartmouth to help raise funds for the club’s Players’ Assistance Fund. We invite all members to attend this very exciting event and help support the Players Assistance Fund. Players of all ages, communities, and skill levels benefit from this fund.

You can show your support by purchasing a ticket for the event for $10 (which includes a drink) and/ or by donating an item for the auction. All Auction items are welcome including any electronics, sports memorabilia, gift baskets, tickets to special events, coupons, or gift cards.

Any and all donations will be acknowledged at the auction as well as on our website and through social media. Please contact UDFC if you have any questions about the auction and how you can help. Arrangements will be made by UDFC to pick up any donations.

If you are interested in contributing to the auction, please contact Theo Giesen at theog@udfc.ca.
