Available to players U4. U6, and U8, our Mini program is designed to introduce participants to soccer skills, fair play, and sportsmanship in a fun and safe environment. The goal of the program is to develop a love of soccer by playing lots of fun activities. The program is overseen by our Mini Program Coordinator, who will work closely with the Mini Field Leaders at each of our four locations. Each Mini team will have a head coach who will be provided with a full curriculum for each session. U3/U4 teams will be co-ed. U5-U8 players may choose the following options at the time of registration: girls, boys, co-ed or no preference. Players will have a choice of which community they will play in, as well as the ability to submit friend requests.

The U10/12 Community program is designed for players who want to play competitive games in a more relaxed, fun environment where they are able to play with their friends in their local community. The program is ideal for those who are not interested in the performance pathway or who are unable to commit as much time. The U10/U12C Program is designed for ease and consistency of scheduling, as well as providing a high quality soccer environment. This program includes 2 nights of commitment each week: one night for practice and one game night.Practice and games will be at the same time and night every week this summer.

United DFC’s Skill Centre Program is for players U8 to U11 who wish to learn the basic skills and tactics of soccer in a fun, social environment that continues to grow a love of the game. Skill Centres are open to all players, including those that have not played soccer before! There is a capacity of 40 players per program based on our current club infrastructure capacity and coach ratio.The program will consist of 2 x practices per week and festival-format games (2 short games close together) every second Saturday throughout the season. Skill Centre programs are overseen by experienced head coaches who follow a curriculum by the Canadian Soccer Association, Soccer Nova Scotia and United DFC.

This program is designed for players who are looking for a more challenging and competitive playing environment. It is intended for players who desire to graduate into the performance pathway. Players in this program will compete in the NSSL outdoor 9 v 9 league this summer. The program is overseen by experienced Head Coaches, Jeremy Wellard (U12 A Girls) and Jeff Seebold (U12 A Boys). Please note - technical staff will assess players registered for this program during the first two weeks of practice before finalizing the squad. Any player not chosen for U12 A will be offered an alternative program to continue their soccer development.

Our Community programs emphasize enjoyment of the game of soccer at a recreational level. The program offers our players 1 weeknight practice and 1 weekend NSSL 9 v 9 (U13 B) and 11 v 11 (U15/18 B) league game. New players are always welcome and the main focus is having fun while promoting activity for life. Squads will be capped at 18-20 registered players to ensure maximum game time for each player. The program is coached by successful candidates of our popular UDFC Future Coach Initiative who are overseen by experienced United DFC coaches and our Director of Soccer

Our competitive program offers players the opportunity to develop their skills at a weekly practice while competing in weekend games as part of the Nova Scotia Soccer League. Teams at this level balance skill development and fun. Teams will compete in the NSSL outdoor 9 v 9 (U13 A) and 11 v 11 (U15/18 A) league. This program is coached by experienced United DFC Head Coaches and assisted by the successful candidates of our club’s Future Coach initiative.
