Note: Players develop at a higher rate when they share similar capabilities of their teammates, not necessarily by age. This allows the group to push each other to a higher level because players can train at a similar pace. No one player is too far ahead (and therefore not challenged enough) or too far behind (and therefore unable to be successful) on a consistent basis. If players are not grouped according to ability/athleticism, it can create an environment where some players are not able to perform at an ideal level of training, resulting in them feeling left out and unable to touch the ball enough for it to be beneficial to their development.

COMMITMENT U10 C Soccer has more of a Community focus. Coaches place more attention on ensuring the players have fun and enjoy the game. **
COACHES Volunteers, typically parents of team members. ***

* Additional training opportunities may be arranged for players who want more soccer. Players would indicate this to their coach or technical staff.
** While the club and coaches still place an emphasis on player development and competition, it is not generally expected that players will make soccer their first priority. However, out of respect for the volunteer coaches and the other players on the team, it is expected that U10 Community players will be at games and practices unless they have let the coach know (with reasonable notice) that they will be absent.
*** There will be some involvement with Staff coaches, but to a lesser extent than the Prospects program.
