Goalkeeper Training with Keith Partridge - Summer 2024
Goalkeeper Weekly Training Sessions with Club Goalkeeper Coach Keith Partridge
The program will run in monthly blocks with weekly training sessions. Players will be grouped based on age and ability, with schedule shared dependent on registrants.
Each training block has a theme as follows:
- May - agility/footwork and handling
- June - plyo and low dives
- July - distribution and block/spread saves
- August - 1v1s and save selection
- September - parries, punches and high dives
Participants:
U10-U18 players
The cost is $40 per month-long block, which includes coaching, facility and equipment

Fridays at Cole Harbour Turf end zones
U13+ from 6-6:45 pm
U10-U12 from 6:45-7:30 pm

About the Program
The Intro and Targeted programs are open registration programs meant to enhance the overall experience of our club GK’s by providing an open and inclusive environment to learn the specialised techniques and training to safely and effectively take on the highly specialised and important position of Goalkeeper.
The academy program is an additional session included in the AAA program and can be accessed by other up and coming, dedicated GK’s that are invited by the UDFC Technical Staff.
Player Selection Policy
Intro and Targeted are open for registration for all interested.
Academy is for the high performance stream and UDFC Technical staff will actively seek out players to invite into the high performance training.
Training & Games
Intro and Targeted - 1 session per week at ECV
Academy - 1 academy session, in addition to the targeted session, at ECV
Key Dates
Block 1 - Nov-Dec
Block 2 - Dec-Jan
Block 3 - Feb-Mar
Block 4 - Mar-April (TBD)
Coaches
This program will be run by the UDFC club GK coach and support by other volunteers and mentees working towards coaching certification in the specialty area of Goalkeeper Coaching.
Our current club GK coach, Keith Partridge, has over ten years experience with GK’s from grassroots to the collegiate level in NS.
Our volunteers and mentees are active or former GK’s looking to gain experience and will be working with the club GK directly.
All United DFC Coaches will be properly qualified and on-boarded in order to ensure that we as a club adhere to the standards & principles set by Soccer Nova Scotia & Canada Soccer.
All coaches (staff, volunteers and mentees) will be screened and reviewed in order to ensure that they meet all of the requirements of United DFC & Canada Soccer
