The objective of the winter Mini Soccer Program is to provide our U4-8 year old players with a fun, safe, and enjoyable environment which allows them to explore and learn the game. The program is designed to incorporate lots of contact and time with the ball, and will emphasize fun, games, and physical literacy development. Depending on the number of participants, groups may be boys, girls and/or co-ed.

U8 born in 2016
This program is designed for players who are interested in playing pick up games once a week in a local gym rather than attending skills center practice sessions and festival games. Coaching will be at a minimum with a focus on playing games.

United DFC’s Skill Centre programs are designed to provide the players with a fun, social experience that continues to grow a love for soccer as well as teaching the fundamental and foundational developmental aspects of soccer.
Skill Centres are open to all players, including those that have not played soccer before! There is a capacity of 40 players per program based on our current club infrastructure capacity (facility time) and coach ratio.

The U12 Pre-Performance Program is designed for players who intend to graduate into the performance pathway with United DFC. This program demands more commitment from players in comparison to the community/recreation stream and is designed with the intention to develop players into our competitive stream of U13AA.
This program will consist of 2 x practices per week on turf at East Coast Varsity and Sunday games in the NSSL U12A division. The season will span from mid-October until March with a break in December. The United DFC pre-performance program is aligned with Canada Soccer’s Grassroots Standards.

The United DFC B Programs from U13-U18 will compete in the Nova Scotia Soccer League (NSSL) 7v7 indoor league.
All United DFC Coaches will be properly qualified and on-boarded in order to ensure that we as a club adhere to the standards & principles set by Soccer Nova Scotia & Canada Soccer.
All coaches must apply to coach within this program and all applicants will be screened and reviewed in order to ensure that they meet all of the requirements of United DFC & Canada Soccer. These requirements include: the age-stage specific grassroots training/course, making ethical decisions, respect in sport, making headway and emergency action plan. These qualification standards can be found under the Coaching Qualification section of the Canada Soccer Grassroots standards, found here.

Youth AAA Programs for the 2023 season will have intake in January for a 10-month season running through October. The commitment expectations for this, Highest Performance setting includes 3 training sessions per week and 1 game throughout the competition period.
