 United DFC Welcomes New Executive Director: Nino Kovacevic

United DFC is excited to announce Nino Kovacevic as the new Executive Director. With over a decade of experience in nonprofit sports management, Nino has a strong background in operational and strategic planning, community engagement, and team mentorship. He previously served as Director of Coach and Club Development at Soccer Nova Scotia, where he led initiatives such as the all-female C License pilot program and expanded accessibility to grassroots coaching education. Nino also has experience as the Director of Sport Development at the Highland District Soccer Association and Associate Coach at St. Francis Xavier University. He holds an MED in Adult Education & Health, a BA in International Development Studies and Business, and a Certificate in Human Resource Management. Fluent in English and Serbo-Croatian, Nino is committed to furthering UDFC’s growth and community impact. When not working, he enjoys navigating the chaos of family life with his partner, their toddler, infant, and mischievous half-pug, half-shih tzu, Sinclair.
